Where to Park in Waikīkī

Are you Waikīkī-phobic? Our newly updated parking roundup shows there’s plenty of cheap or free parking around.

Do you want to try one of the delicious new restaurants that have made Waikīkī one of O‘ahu’s hottest dining destinations or a classic you keep hearing about, but you’re afraid of parking?

 

No worries: There’s plenty of parking to be had, especially if you’re going in to eat. More and more, the Frolic team has been heading to Waikīkī to scope out new places, cover fun events, join friends for pau hana or get together with family. We have the scoops on the best parking deals around and how to get those precious validations.

 

Note: If you’re dining at a hotel restaurant—like Kai Market at the Sheraton Waikīkī, Sansei at the Waikīkī Beach Marriott or Tiki’s Grill at the Aston Waikīkī Beach—validated parking is often free. Call the restaurant to find out.

Prince Waikiki Parking

Prince Waikīkī

Dine at 100 Sails and enjoy free self-parking for 2.5 hours with validation. Valet parking is available for $10 for 4 hours with validation. At Katsumidori Sushi, you can pay $5 for 2.5 hours of self-parking ($7 per hour afterward) and $10 for 2.5 hours of valet parking ($12 per hour afterward) with validation.

Ritz-Carlton Residences Waikīkī

If you’re going to Dean & DeLuca to shop or for happy hour in the second-floor lounge, you can enjoy one free hour of valet parking with validation. The Dean & DeLuca afternoon tea comes with three free hours of valet parking with validation. Sushi Sho, Quiora and La Vie offer complimentary valet parking for up to four hours. Just get your ticket stamped before you leave.

Embassy Suites / Club Wyndham Waikīkī Beach Walk

You can get free lunch parking daily at Embassy Suites Waikīkī or Club Wyndham at Waikīkī Beach Walk from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. with restaurant validation (earned with minimum $10 purchase) from Waikīkī Beach Walk restaurants Yard House, Taormina Sicilian Cuisine, Giovanni Pastrami and more.

Royal Hawaiian Parking

Royal Hawaiian Center

Shop or dine at Royal Hawaiian Center, and you’ll get one free hour of validated parking. After that, it’s $2 per hour for the next 2 hours. Note: As of Dec. 1, 2024, the minimum purchase is $25.

 

Royal Hawaiian Helumoa Hale

Kama‘āina and military can get a validation sticker for up to three hours of free parking between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Visit the Helumoa Hale Guest Services desk near the center stage on the ground floor from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. to get your ticket validated. From 3 to 4 p.m., you can visit the parking office on the second floor of the garage. You must present a receipt showing a purchase of $25 or more and ID. The receipt is stamped, so no double-dipping.

Waikiki Shopping Plaza Parking

Stix Asia at the Waikīkī Shopping Plaza

Dine at any of the the 15 restaurants now open in the Stix Asia food hall and spend a minimum of $35 to get 2 hours of free parking. Parking validations are available Monday to Friday from 5 to 10 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the weekend. One validation will be given per receipt, and receipts may be combined to total $35. Pick up a validation at the concierge desk next to Nana’s Green Tea before it closes at 10:15 p.m.

Waikiki Business Plaza Parking

Sky Waikīkī

If you’re going to Sky Waikīkī, get validation with a purchase for free validated parking at both Waikīkī Shopping Plaza and Waikīkī Business Plaza. All you have to do is get a cocktail or pūpū, or better yet, hang out for happy hour or surf and turf with a superb view of the ocean and city, then bar hop or roam Waikīkī all night. Free validated parking is good until midnight on Sunday to Thursday and until 1 a.m. on Fridays and 2 a.m. on Saturdays.

Ross Waikīkī

You can get two hours of parking with purchase (no minimum). Why is this important? Because Ross is within a couple minutes’ walk of eateries that don’t validate: Izakaya Pau Hana Base, Paia Fish Market, Mahina and Sun’s … and by the way, so is Nordstrom Rack, below.

Hyatt Centric Parking

Hyatt Centric: Nordstrom Rack / Duke’s Lane Market & Eatery / Basalt

If you’re shopping at Nordstrom Rack, get two hours of parking with your purchase (no minimum spend). If you’re shopping or eating at Dukes Lane Market & Eatery, get one hour of free parking with a minimum purchase of $10. Eating at Basalt? Enjoy up to three hours of free parking with restaurant validation. Note: Validation only covers the amount of time you’re dining at Basalt.

International Market Place Parking

Starting on Sept. 1, 2023, the minimum spend for validation went up to $25. Any shop or restaurant at Waikīkī’s redeveloped mega mall will validate your self-park ticket for one free hour; after that, it’s $2 per hour for the next 3 hours. StripSteak on the Grand Lānai offers 4 hours free validated parking with the purchase of an entrée.

Lilia Waikiki Parking

Waikīkī Market

If you shop at Waikīkī Market, you can park at the nearby Lilia Waikīkī building. Parking is free for a 15-minute grace period, but $4 for every 30 minutes afterward.

‘Alohilani Resort Parking

‘Alohilani Resort

Eating at Morimoto Asia Waikīkī or Momosan? Get restaurant validation and enjoy free valet or self-parking for up to three hours. Swell Restaurant and Bar offers three hours of complimentary self-parking or $12 for three hours of valet parking if you spend $30 or more. If you’re staying longer than three hours, parking costs $9 per hour. Meanwhile, La Bettola offers free valet parking.

Honolulu Zoo Parking

Honolulu Zoo

The Honolulu Zoo at the Kapahulu end of Waikīkī may not have restaurants next to it, but many are within walking distance, like Deck at the Queen Kapi‘olani Hotel and Hula’s Bar & Lei Stand. You can park here for $1.50 per hour for a max of four hours. The meter machine accepts credit cards and cash but does not give change.
