Everything to Do on Halloween Night on O‘ahu

No plans for tonight? Here’s everything from trick-or-treating for kids to costume parties, haunted houses and more for adults.

 

Halloween falls on a Thursday this year, but that shouldn’t dampen your festive spirit. Even if you’ve got work or school the next day, there are countless exciting ways to embrace the spooky season, from haunted house adventures to nightclub ragers. Here are a variety of Halloween night events that promise costumed thrills and chills for everyone.

Go Trick-or-Treating

O‘ahu’s malls and businesses are ready for keiki to come trick-or-treating today. Here’s the schedule:

 

Kū‘ono Marketplace: Get an early start on trick-or-treating from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., plus enter the Instagram costume contest for a chance to win a $50 gift card.

 

International Market Place: Trick-or-treat at participating merchants from 4 to 6 p.m. Plus, check out the entertainment, free balloon artist and photo ops with Anna, Elsa, Iron Man and Pikachu.

 

Ala Moana Center: From 4 to 7 p.m., more than 100 merchants will hand out candy and other sweet surprises, while supplies last. Also in the ‘Ewa Wing Court, keiki can receive custom balloon creations and dance the “Monster Mash” with a live DJ.

 

Proof Social Club: Bring your kids, dogs, and Cousin Itts to Chinatown’s Chaplain Lane Alley Proof Social Club for trick-or-treating, games, a costume contest, pumpkin decorating, art by local artists and more—with no cover—from 4 to 8 p.m.

 

Wai Kai: Go trick-or-treating, join the costume contest for a chance to win Wai Kai gift certificates, decorate your own trick-or-treat tote ($5) and shop the onsite farmers market from 4 to 8 p.m.

 

Kāhala Mall: Trick-or-treating in the indoor mall from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

 

Salt at Our Kaka‘ako: Trick-or-treat, play carnival games and complete a passport for treasure from 5 to 8 p.m.

 

Pearlridge Center: Enjoy indoor trick-or-treating in the Mauka and Wai Makai wings from 5 to 8 p.m. with a keiki costume contest.

 

Ka Makana Ali‘i: Bring the keiki for a magic show starting at 5:30 p.m., followed by trick-or-treating throughout the center at participating stores from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

 

Windward Mall: Trick-or-treating from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Tiki’s Grill & Bar is a hotspot for costumed craziness and festive drinks. Catch live music by Rachel Faith and her band from 8-10 p.m., with a DJ and dancing from 10 p.m. to close. Costumes are encouraged!

Haunted Kingdom at The District Nightclub

The District

8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Start your evening with a free salsa dancing lesson by Salsamor from 8 to 9 p.m. in the Main Room, then groove to salsa and Latin beats until 10:30 p.m. After that, the vibe shifts to the signature nightclub atmosphere. The party is Disney-themed, so come in costume, but leave the weapons and sharp objects at home.
