Brandon Worldster Lee
Dr. Brandon Lee has proudly served the people of Hawai‘i since 2011. A second-generation ophthalmologist, he witnessed at an early age how restoring the gift of sight had the power to change people’s lives. His father, Dr. Worldster Lee, was one of Hawai‘i’s leading cataract surgeons until his retirement in 2020. Today, Dr. Brandon Lee is proud to continue his father’s legacy at the Cataract and Vision Center of Hawaii. Born and raised in Honolulu, Dr. Lee understands the unique lifestyle and needs of Hawai‘i’s people and strives to provide the highest quality eye care while building strong personal connections with his patients. Dr. Lee’s health care journey began working in public health and outreach programs at the Waimānalo Health Center. This experience changed the course of his life and instilled in him a strong sense of kuleana to care for the people of Hawai‘i. “Our patients come from so many different backgrounds and all walks of life, so I try to be perceptive and sensitive to each of their needs and truly listen to their concerns.” A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Lee was fortunate to train at two of the nation’s top eye institutes: USC’s Doheny Eye Institute for his residency, and the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, ranked the nation’s #1 eye hospital, for his fellowship in medical diseases of the retina. He is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in state-of-the-art cataract surgery. He employs the latest technology, including the Catalys femtosecond laser and multifocal lens implants, which can both correct astigmatism and restore a full range of vision. “I’ve always been someone who strives to help others achieve their full potential,” says Dr. Lee. “Giving someone back their vision is a very meaningful way of doing that, especially for our kūpuna.” The Cataract and Vision Center of Hawaii is one of the few practices in Hawai‘i with an on-site surgery center dedicated to cataract surgery. In addition to his Honolulu practice, Dr. Lee provides care for patients on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, where he specializes in cataract surgery at the Ludwig Ophthalmology Centre in Hilo.
