From hot flashes to weight gain, cold sweats, mood swings and sleepless nights, millions of women experience a wide range of physical and emotional symptoms as they navigate menopause. For years, this natural phase of life has often been marginalized with little acknowledgment of the impact it has on women’s lives.
On an upcoming Insights on PBS Hawai‘i program, we shine a much-needed light on menopause, providing a platform for open dialogue and discussion of the challenges and changes that women face during this period. In this episode, we will talk with experts, healthcare professionals and women who are dealing with menopause about their concerns.
Menopause is a mental and emotional journey that profoundly affects women, yet many are reluctant to discuss the topic because of the stigma that surrounds it. The program will provide a safe space for women to have a candid and real conversation about it.
