The biannual Honolulu Night Market, presented by American Savings Bank, returns for its first event of the year on Saturday, June 8, from 5 to 10 p.m. This year’s event is slated to be a summer block party with good food, live entertainment and fun shopping for the whole family.
“Our Kaka‘ako is a thriving neighborhood rooted in Hawaiian culture and values, urban-island lifestyle, and innovation. Honolulu Night Market has been one of our community’s most popular events for many years. It embodies so much of what people love about Our Kaka‘ako, showcasing local artists and entrepreneurs, ‘ono food and exciting nightlife,” says Pualani Hao, director of planning and development at Kamehameha Schools.
The event will take place along Keawe, Auahi and Coral St. as well as within The Barn at Salt at Our Kaka‘ako. Here’s our guide to the festival—where to park, where to shop, what to do and insider tips.

What’s New This Year
For the first time, Honolulu Night Market is partnering with the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture (FestPAC). Since 1972, FestPAC has been hosted every four years by various Pacific nations to enhance the cultural and physical resilience of Pacific Islanders, foster connections and promote unity in the Pacific region.
Inspired by FestPAC, the Honolulu Night Market is offering a cultural marketplace called Mākeke Pasifika in The Barn at Salt at Our Kaka‘ako, hosted by organizations like Surfrider Foundation, INPEACE, Poi for the People and Bishop Museum. In addition to shopping artisan vendors, the experience includes hands-on, educational activities ranging from traditional crafts to mo‘olelo (storytelling).

What to Do
There is plenty to watch, eat and drink at the Honolulu Night Market! We recommend arriving early for optimal parking and food options as the crowd tends to pick up as the evening continues after sunset.
For foodies, check the vendor list before coming down so you can shortlist your top picks. There is a diverse array of food booths—some vendors will sell plates and full-size entrees that are worth the wait but may take longer to prepare, while others will sell smaller plates, desserts and beverages. Numerous tenants also offer food options, from grab-and-go to sit-down—visit ourkakaako.com for a full list of the dining establishments throughout the nine blocks of Our Kaka‘ako. Pro tip: If the line is lengthy for a booth you want to buy from, consider grabbing a snack or small plate from another booth or Our Kaka‘ako tenant that you can enjoy while waiting.
If you’re over 21, visit the expanded beer gardens, which include seating at the corner of Auahi and Cooke St. and at Kaloko‘eli Courtyard in front of H Mart Kaka‘ako, for your favorite beverage. Special promotions, giveaways and prizes will occur in both beer gardens from 5 to 10 p.m. Relaxed seating options are available to enjoy your food. Drink responsibly and consider using a rideshare or having a designated driver to get home safely after the event.
There will be five hours of live entertainment by the 13th Festival of Pacific Arts and Culture across two stages. The main stage will be opposite Salt at Our Kaka‘ako where Coral St. meets Auahi St. A secondary stage will welcome guests at Kaloko‘eli Courtyard in front of H Mart Kaka‘ako. Check out the activities, entertainment, beer gardens, food and retail vendors set up along Keawe St., Auahi St., Coral St. and inside The Barn at Salt at Our Kaka‘ako.
