If you’ve been craving eggnog and wintry spiced rum punch, check out the Christmas spirits being served up at fun seasonal pop-up bars in Honolulu.

The Christmas Bar Hawai‘i

Last year’s hit holiday pop-up, located inside Tiki’s Grill & Bar, returns this year with over-the-top floor-to-ceiling decorations, festive holiday drinks, charcuterie plates and desserts, and merry bartending elves. (Fun mocktails also will be available.) Note: This pop-up gets busy during prime evening hours, so be prepared for a wait, especially on the weekends.

Winter Wonderland at Ala Moana Pacific Center

On the street level of the Ala Moana Pacific Center, next to Shokudo and right next to the mall, is a festive gem of a holiday spot from the creators of the Nightmare Halloween-themed pop-up bar. Sip on butter beer and other themed cocktails amid bright, shiny decor; the place is sure to raise your holiday spirits.

Sippin’ Santa at Prince Waikīkī

Last year, the debut of Beachbum Berry’s Sippin’ Santa open-air pop-up bar was so popular, the folks behind it decided to do it again. The tiki-themed Christmas pop-up by New York-based Miracle Bar has been spreading waves of holiday cheer at bars across the country since 2015, and it’s got a recipe that works, from potent cocktails and cute, quirky drinkware (some available for purchase) to festive snacks, photo-ready holiday decor and all of our favorite tunes of the season.

Secret Santa at The Other Side Lounge

Chinatown’s only Christmas pop-up bar this year is at the former Downbeat Lounge, now a speak-easy-themed bar run by the folks at The Other Side and NextDoor. Come for bright, cheery holiday décor and holiday-themed cocktails.

Candy Cane Lane Speakeasy at ‘Alohilani Resort Waikīkī Beach

This Instagram-worthy holiday pop-up features over-the-top décor that embraces the holiday spirit. Festive movies will play during the day for kids and families to enjoy. At 5 p.m., Candy Cane Lane transforms into an adults-only speakeasy with specialty festive cocktails.

Infinity Bar at Show Aloha Land

This pop-up bar is open exclusively to adult Show Aloha Land attendees at the Aloha Stadium, but once you’re in the door, all beers, wines and cocktails are just $5 each. The LED-lit bar was customized and built locally to match the holiday light themes of the Show Aloha Land event.
