Join us this holiday season as we close out the year with Nā Mele featuring multi-Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award winner Natalie Ai Kamauu at Palikū Theatre on the Windward Community College campus.

From the comfort of your home or wherever you are, enjoy the music from this six-time Female Vocalist of the Year on Monday, Dec. 11, at 7:30 p.m. as we broadcast and stream a live pledge drive from our Harry and Jeannette Weinberg Multimedia Studio. In our studio, we will be taking calls of support for our station as part of this pledge program.

The 90-minute Nā Mele program features Ai Kamauu along with her son, Chaz, on bass, husband Iolani on guitar and daughter Sha-Lei and daughter-in-law Hiwa-Lei dancing hula. The concert portion of the program was recorded earlier this year and is part of PBS Hawai‘i’s annual pledge event.

Ai Kamauu also received Album of the Year for “Natalie Noelani” and took home the title of Hawaiian Music Video of the Year for “No Waimea Ke Aloha” with her husband Iolani. “No Waimea Ke Aloha” also won Hawaiian Single of the Year and Song of the Year.

From the toe-tapping “Hula Baby” to the soulful “Uhiwai,” it will be a beautiful night to remember.

Only PBS Hawai‘i can bring you enriching content like this, and we can only do so with your support. The trust you place in us is a responsibility or kuleana that each person on our staff embraces and takes to heart. Join us for a concert to remember.
